How we got our name!

At every show lately I am being asked how did you choose your name? Do you only have black goats? 

                                This is Black Lace our beautiful La Mancha goat!


The answer is no I have many different colored goats, tho Black Lace and Athena are black La Manchas and our only goats in milk currently that is not why we are called Black Goat Soap Co.

The answer is silly and fun all in one. I am the black sheep of my family and proud of it. I went on my own way and I do my own thing. But I don't raise sheep, we raise goats and my business revolves around them. My favorite color is also black and yes it is a real color don't ask my husband.

So Black Goat Soap Co. was born. We have had other names and I tried to love all of them but some just didn't feel right and if I am going to put my body and soul into this company then I need it to be me. And this name feels me, if that makes sense. I am the goat milk lady and that name is still very true to me but Black Goat Soap Co. is the brand!
